Returns and Exchanges
At Nuar, most fine jewelry is made to order or assembled specifically for your selected diamond and specifications. For that reason, our policy is designed as a post-delivery inspection period, not a wear-and-return or home-comparison program.
Eligible items may be returned or exchanged only with prior return authorization (RMA), and only if they are received back in original, unworn, unaltered condition with all original packaging, documentation, and any diamond grading report.
Return eligibility varies by product category. The exact return status for each item appears on the product page, in the cart, and in the order confirmation.
Refund vs. Store Credit
For eligible items, customers choose at the time of return:
- Refund to original payment method — minus a 15% restocking fee.
- Store credit — full purchase value, no restocking fee, never expires, can be used on any future Nuar order.

Refund Processing Timeline
Refunds are processed within 10 business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item. Funds typically appear on your original payment method within an additional 2-3 business days depending on your bank.
Loose Diamonds — Special Conditions
Loose diamonds must be returned with the original grading report and inscription intact. Missing or damaged grading reports may result in a replacement or re-certification deduction. Mounted diamonds are not eligible for return.
Non-Refundable Charges
Shipping, rush production, customization, CAD design, sizing, engraving, duties, taxes, and other service fees are non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy
Ready-to-ship orders may be canceled for a full refund before shipment.
Made-to-order, special-order, and custom orders may be canceled only before sourcing, CAD, casting, setting, or production begins. Once those steps begin, cancellation fees or non-refundable deposits apply. After CAD approval or production start, orders are final.
Deposits on Special Orders
- Ready-to-ship items: Full payment at checkout.
- Supplier special-order, semi-mount, or bridal setting orders: Minimum 20% non-refundable deposit once supplier ordering or sourcing begins.
- Full custom, CAD, or customer-stone work: Minimum 50% non-refundable deposit to begin; final payment due before shipment.
- Loose diamonds reserved for a specific client: Full payment to reserve; once supplier confirms allocation, the loose-diamond cancellation rules apply.
Shipping Damage / Delivery Issues
If your package arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if possible and notify us immediately. If damage, loss, or a delivery issue is discovered after receipt, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery and retain all original packaging for claim review.
Return Abuse / Comparative Purchasing
To keep prices fair and protect inventory quality, Nuar may limit or refuse returns, exchanges, or future orders where purchase activity appears excessive, repetitive, comparative, abusive, or fraudulent.
How to Initiate a Return
- Email us at bernard@nuarjewelers.com within the applicable return window with your order number and reason for return.
- We'll issue a Return Authorization (RMA) and an insured prepaid return label.
- Pack the item in its original packaging with all documentation. High-value items must be double-boxed.
- Drop the package only with the carrier (no drop-box returns for high-value items).
- We'll inspect within 3 business days of receipt and notify you of the outcome.
- Approved refunds processed within 10 business days; store credits issued immediately upon approval.
